About AstroVellum
AstroVellum is a set of astrology and numerology calculators with optional AI-written readings. You can work out your birth chart, your rising, moon and Venus signs, your Saturn return, your north node, a solar return chart, a compatibility score, your life path and other numerology numbers, or draw tarot cards. All of the calculators and card draws are free.
How it works
- The site does the calculating. Planet positions, the Ascendant and house cusps are calculated by our own code, built on the open-source astronomy-engine library. Birth places are looked up in a city database that is part of the site, and the time zone that applied on your birth date is used to convert your birth time. Numerology numbers and tarot draws are worked out in your browser.
- An AI writes the reading, if you want one. A reading takes the results the site has already calculated and turns them into text. It is written by a third-party large language model, accessed through OpenRouter. AstroVellum is an independent product and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the companies that make those models. The AI does not pretend to be a person.
- Readings use credits. New accounts get 5 free credits, and visitors who are not signed in can get a few free dream and yes or no tarot readings each day. If a reading is refused by our content checks or cannot be completed, the credits are returned. Credit packs and plans are on the pricing page.
If you are signed in, your readings are saved in My readings, where you can read them again or delete them. Our Privacy Policy explains exactly what is stored and who it is shared with.
For entertainment purposes only
AstroVellum is not a psychic, medium or fortune-telling service. Readings do not predict the future and are not medical, legal, financial or psychological advice. We do not give readings about death, illness, pregnancy, lottery numbers or self-harm, or about controlling another person; the Acceptable Use Policy has the full list.
